The Kaywoodie Liberty Bell pipe was one of only 500 that were made
in 1976 to celebrate to Bi-Centenial. The pipe came apart in three
pieces. The bell-shaped bowl has a threaded fitting that attaches it
to the shank (yoke) and the mouthpiece has the drinkless attachment.
The shank is stamped Liberty Bell Commemorative by Kaywoodie. This
pipe was mainly given away, as a promotional pipe, to business
associates and store owners. They did not appear in any catalog as
being for sale to the general public. A few pieces were sold direct
to the consumer who may have seen them displayed at the local pipe shop.
